How did the family of the boy with the bone-cyst decide to go to Shirdi, and what was their state of mind?

📖 Chapter 34

According to Chapter 34, the family decided to go to Shirdi only after reaching a point of complete helplessness. They had tried all possible medical treatments for their son's bone-cyst, including native and foreign remedies and even surgery, but nothing worked. The boy was young and in constant, unbearable pain. When all remedies reached their limit, relatives suggested turning to deities. Eventually, they heard of a famous Avaliya (saint) in Shirdi, Sai Baba, who could heal diseases. They decided to try this "last resort," clinging to the hope that this calamity could be averted. Eager for Sai's darshan, they packed their things and went to Shirdi with a mix of desperation and faith.
