How did the family of the afflicted boy in Chapter 34 come to the decision to visit Shirdi?

The decision to visit Shirdi was a last resort for the family, as detailed in Chapter 34. After all medical treatments, both native and foreign, had failed to cure the boy's bone-cyst, and even surgery proved unsuccessful, the family felt helpless. When conventional remedies reached their limit, relatives first suggested worshiping deities, but that also brought no relief. It was then that they heard word of a famous Avaliya (saint) in Shirdi, Sai Maharaj, who could supposedly heal diseases just by his sight. Believing that Sai Baba's Udi could cure incurable diseases, the parents decided to try this final option and traveled to Shirdi to seek his darshan.
