How did the family from Malegaon learn about Sai Baba, and what convinced them to make the journey to Shirdi?

After all medical treatments for their son's bone-cyst had failed and even turning to their family gods brought no relief, word of a famous Avaliya (saint) in Shirdi reached the family's ears. As recounted in Chapter 34, they heard that this great saint, Sai Maharaj, could heal diseases just by his sight. More specifically, they heard that if he applied Udi with his own hand, even incurable diseases would perish. This reputation convinced them to try this "last resort." The possibility that this calamity could be averted by visiting him was the sole motivation for their eager journey to seek Sai's darshan in Shirdi.
