The transformation of the Buti Wada into the Samadhi Mandir was a direct result of Sai Baba's final wish. Although the mansion was originally built with a central hall planned as a temple for Murlidhar, a project Baba approved, events took a different course. Chapter 39 explains that as Baba's health declined, Bapusaheb Buti grew anxious about the future of the building. This uncertainty was resolved when Baba's last words were, "Place me in the mansion." In accordance with this command, his holy body was placed in the inner sanctum prepared for Murlidhar, thus consecrating the mansion as the Samadhi Mandir.
How did the Buti Wada, which was intended to be a temple for Murlidhar, end up becoming Sai Baba's Samadhi Mandir?
