How did the Buti Wada, which was intended for Murlidhar, ultimately become Sai Baba's final resting place?

📖 Chapter 39

The transformation of the Buti Wada into Sai Baba's Samadhi Mandir was a direct result of Baba's own final words. While Bapusaheb Buti was despairing over the future of the mansion during Baba's illness, Chapter 39 explains that by a "stroke of fate and by Sai’s command," the building's great fortune was realized. Baba’s last words were, “Place me in the mansion.” This clear instruction, coming from Baba's own mouth, resolved all uncertainty for the devotees. In fulfillment of his command, they placed his holy body in the inner sanctum, the very spot designed for the Murlidhar idol, thus turning the mansion into the sacred Samadhi Mandir.
