How did the annual Ram Navami fair in Shirdi come into existence, and what obstacles had to be overcome to establish it?

The idea for an annual fair, or Urs, in Maharaj's honor was first proposed by his devotee Gopalrao Gund. As described in Chapter 0, he shared this idea with Tatya Patil, Dada Kote Patil, and Madhavrao Deshpande, who all supported it. However, they faced a significant obstacle from the Kulkarni at the time, who created difficulties that resulted in the collector issuing an official order prohibiting the fair. Despite this setback, an order to hold the fair was eventually obtained. Following Maharaj's direct command, it was decided that the fair would be held on Ram Navami, and this tradition has been faithfully continued ever since, managed from the beginning by Tatya Ganpati Patil Kote.
