How did Sai Baba use the readings in Sathe's Wada to create "coincidences" and what was the purpose of this method?

According to Chapter 18, Sai Baba demonstrated a skillful method for reinforcing his teachings. He would often tell a devotee a short story in the Masjid and then immediately instruct them to go to Sathe's Wada, where Bapusaheb Jog was reading a sacred text. The "great wonder" for the listeners was that upon arriving at the Wada, the very same story Baba had just told would come up in the reading. As Chapter 18 describes, the reading of Jnaneshwar’s Jnaneshwari or Eknath’s speech would seem like a direct translation of Baba's own story.
