How did Sai Baba use the concept of Dakshina to teach Kashiram a lesson about spiritual pride?

📖 Chapter 0

Sai Baba masterfully used Dakshina to address the pride that was becoming an obstacle in Kashiram's spiritual path. Chapter 0 explains that Kashiram initially derived a sense of self-importance from being able to give Dakshina, feeling bad when it wasn't accepted. Recognizing this 'pride of the giver,' Maharaj began a leela of constantly demanding Dakshina from him. This continued to the point where Kashiram exhausted his funds and had to borrow. This difficult experience forced Kashiram to confront the reality that he did not have the power to give. Once he learned this lesson and his pride was removed, his financial condition improved again, and his anxiety over giving Dakshina vanished.
