How did Sai Baba use the ancient teaching of 'Da' to help his followers overcome greed?

📖 Chapter 14

Sai Baba, described as an ocean of mercy in Chapter 14, employed a profound teaching method to help his devotees overcome greed, which is a significant obstacle to self-progress. He utilized the single-syllable instruction 'Da,' originally taught by Prajapati to gods, demons, and humans. For humans, who are characterized as being 'gripped by difficult greed,' the lesson from 'Da' was 'Dana,' which means to give charity. Chapter 14 explains that Baba would stretch out His hand for Dakshina to pull the greed-oriented person up from the 'pit of greed.' This act, along with being merciful ('Daya') and self-controlled ('Danta'), was presented as a simple remedy to destroy faults like greed, lust, and anger, ultimately leading the devotee to extreme happiness.
