How did Sai Baba use stories to guide devotees to the scripture readings?

Sai Baba employed a unique and profound method to encourage devotees to attend the scripture readings. Chapter 18 describes how Baba would sometimes begin telling a short story to a devotee at the Masjid. While the listener was still absorbing the tale, Baba would suddenly instruct them to go to the Wada where the reading was taking place. The devotee would then be astonished to find that the very same story was being read from the book at that moment. This served as a powerful confirmation of Baba's omniscience and made the sacred texts feel like a direct translation of Baba's own words.
