How did Sai Baba stop the fight between Damu Anna and Mavshibai?

Sai Baba resolved the escalating quarrel between Damu Anna and Mavshibai with his characteristic wisdom and humor. Seeing that the two were genuinely angry, Baba planned what Chapter 24 calls a "powerful trick" to cool them down. He lovingly addressed Damu Anna, asking why he was causing an uproar and stating, "I don't understand what is improper in taking a kiss from the Mother." By referring to Mavshibai as "Mother" (Aai), a name he often used for her, he reframed the interaction from a personal conflict to one of familial affection.
