During Balaji's anniversary ceremony, or Shraddha, the Nevasakar family faced a crisis when the number of guests unexpectedly tripled, leading to a food shortage. As recounted in Chapter 35, the mother-in-law demonstrated immense faith. She took a handful of Udi, placed it in each pot of food, and covered them. She instructed her daughter-in-law to serve while only partially lifting the cloths, stating that the food belonged to Sai, who would protect their honor. As a result of her faith and the power of the Udi, all the guests were fed to their satisfaction, and the food in the pots remained as full as before, miraculously averting the family's humiliation.
