How did Sai Baba's prophecy about 'using the mansion for ourselves' come true in an unexpected way?

Sai Baba made a joyful prophecy about the Buti Wada when he first approved its construction. Chapter 39 quotes him as saying, "After the mansion is finished, we will use it for ourselves. There we shall talk and walk; there we shall all play together." At the time, devotees likely interpreted this as him planning to live and interact with them there.
