How did Sai Baba reveal his knowledge of Sapatnekar's life without speaking to him directly?

Sai Baba revealed his omniscience in a uniquely indirect way. After Sapatnekar, in a moment of despair, resolved to hold Baba's feet, a Dhangar (shepherd) woman arrived and began to massage Baba's waist. According to Chapter 48 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, Baba then started a conversation with her. As Sapatnekar listened, he was shocked to realize that every word of the story Baba was telling the woman was his own life story. The narrative included intimate details, even mentioning the death of his late son. Though the story was ostensibly about a merchant, Sapatnekar understood it was his own, revealing to him that Baba knew everything about him without needing a direct conversation.
