How did Sai Baba reveal his divine nature to Chand Patil during their first meeting?

Sai Baba demonstrated his divine, saintly nature to Chand Patil through two remarkable acts during their initial encounter. According to Chapter 5 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, when Baba saw Chand Patil carrying a saddle, he inquired about it. Upon learning Patil's mare was lost, Baba simply told him to search near the streams, where the horse would be found immediately. Patil was astonished when he found his mare exactly as directed, which made him realize he had met an 'Avaliya' (saint). The second miracle occurred when Baba, needing fire for his chillum, thrust a pair of tongs into the earth and pulled out a glowing ember, a feat that affirmed he was not a mere human.
