Chapter 34 describes a very compassionate response from Sai Baba. When the parents arrived in Shirdi, they prostrated at his feet and, with choked voices and pitiful faces, narrated their son's suffering. They pleaded for his protection, having come to him with total devotion after hearing of his greatness. In response, Sai, the embodiment of compassion, immediately reassured them. He told them to be worry-free and famously stated that those who seek shelter in the Masjid shall never face downfall. He then gave them Udi, instructing them to smear it on the wound as the solution to their problem.
