How did Sai Baba respond when he learned that his devotee, Dev, felt disappointed and deceived after the Udyapan ceremony?

📖 Chapter 40

When Dev's letter of complaint was communicated to Sai Baba by Jog, Baba offered a detailed explanation rather than becoming angry. According to Chapter 40, Baba revealed that he was already aware of the contents of the letter before it was even opened. He addressed Dev's accusation directly, asking rhetorically why Dev would call for him if he was unable to recognize him. Baba confirmed that he did attend the Udyapan by appearing in the guise of a Sanyasi, along with two companions. He emphasized the inviolability of his word, stating, "for the sake of My word, I would die; but the words from My mouth shall never be otherwise."
