How did Sai Baba resolve the conflict between Anna and Mavshibai?

Initially, Sai Baba would watch his devotees' quarrels neutrally. However, as the argument between Damu Anna and Mavshibai escalated, Baba intervened with a 'powerful trick' to calm them. As recounted in Chapter 24, he lovingly and humorously addressed Anna, saying, 'Oh Anna, why have you started this uproar? I don't understand what is improper in taking a kiss from the Mother.' This clever remark immediately pacified both of them, causing the humorous talk to vanish and a 'sprout of loving laughter' to break out among everyone present. Baba's intervention turned anger into a shared joke, reconciling the two devotees.
