How did Sai Baba react when the distressed parents from Malegaon pleaded with him to save their son?

When the parents of the suffering child arrived in Shirdi, they immediately took Baba's darshan, prostrated at his feet, and with choked voices and folded hands, narrated their son's ordeal. Chapter 34 describes how they pleaded pitifully, expressing their exhaustion from seeing their son's pain. In response, Sai Baba, the embodiment of compassion, reassured them completely. He told them to be worry-free and gave them a profound promise: "Those who seek shelter in the Masjid shall never face downfall, even at the end of an era." He then gave them his Udi and instructed them to smear it on the wound.
