How did Sai Baba protect his devotee Kashiram from a dangerous situation even when they were physically apart?

The story of Kashiram illustrates how Maharaj protected his devotees from afar. When Kashiram was attacked by thieves, he fought back bravely but was eventually struck with an axe and left for dead. As described in Chapter 0, at the very same time this attack was happening, Maharaj in Shirdi began shouting, swearing, and showing great agitation. The people around him understood this behavior as a sign that one of his dear devotees was in grave danger and that Maharaj's actions were a spiritual intervention to protect them. Kashiram, despite being outnumbered and seriously injured, survived the ordeal. This demonstrates the profound connection Maharaj had with his followers, acting as their "Savior" against all odds.
