In 1886, on the full moon day of Margashirsha, Sai Baba experienced a severe asthma attack. To endure this bodily state, he decided to enter a trance, or Samadhi, for three days. As described in Chapter 44, his preparation involved drawing his soul, or life force, into the crown of his head. He then gave firm instructions to his devotee Mhalasapati, telling him not to be woken up. He pointed to a spot in the hall and said, "Dig a Samadhi there and keep me in that place." He also commanded Mhalasapati to guard him vigilantly for the three days and to place two flags at the designated spot as signs.
How did Sai Baba prepare for his three-day samadhi in 1886, and what specific instructions did he give?
