How did Sai Baba miraculously connect his own stories with the scriptures being read in the Wada?

Sai Baba had a profound and wondrous method of demonstrating the unity between his teachings and the sacred texts. Chapter 18 describes how Baba would sometimes tell a devotee a short story while they were with him in the Masjid. Then, he would immediately instruct that person to go to Sathe's Wada where the scripture reading was in progress. Upon arriving, the sincere listener would discover that the very same story or theme Baba had just recounted was being read from the book at that exact moment. This provided a powerful confirmation and a deeper understanding of Baba's original story, making it seem as if the words of Jnaneshwar or Eknath were a direct translation of Baba's own speech.
