How did Sai Baba manage to light the lamps in the mosque after the local shopkeepers refused to give him any more oil?

📖 Chapter 5

When the grocers conspired to stop giving Sai Baba free oil, he performed a remarkable miracle. As described in Chapter 5, Baba returned to the mosque with his tin pot, which had only a tiny bit of oil left. He poured water into it, drank the mixture himself as an offering to the Supreme, and then proceeded to fill the lamps with plain water. He soaked the dry wicks in this water and lit them. To the astonishment of the watching grocers, the water-fueled lamps burned brightly throughout the entire night, demonstrating Baba's divine power and causing the shopkeepers to repent for their actions.
