Laxmichand developed a desire for khaja (a sweet) after having a small amount on his second day in Shirdi, but the eagerness remained unfulfilled in his mind. Chapter 28 describes how a wonder occurred on the third day. During a visit to the masjid, Sai Baba specifically ordered a devotee to bring a plate full of khaja as the naivedya, or food offering. Later, Baba announced to all the devotees, "Today is an auspicious day; I feel like having khaja prasad." Consequently, two bowls full of the sweet were brought, and Laxmichand's unspoken desire was fulfilled, causing joy to arise in his heart.
How did Sai Baba manage to fulfill Laxmichand's unspoken craving for khaja?
