Sai Baba fulfilled his promise to attend the ceremony by appearing in a different form, or guise. As explained in Chapter 40, Baba told Jog that he first appeared to Dev alone as a Sanyasi. He then returned at noon for the meal, bringing two companions with him, just as he had promised. Even though Baba's physical body did not move from its location, he manifested at Dev's home to honor his word. Baba stated, "In the worldly sense, I did not move from here; but I came and ate at the Udyapan." This demonstrates how he could be present at the feast without physically traveling there, though Dev failed to recognize him at the time.
How did Sai Baba manage to attend Dev's Udyapan ceremony while also remaining physically in his usual place?
