How did Sai Baba manage to attend Dev's Udyapan ceremony even though he never physically left Shirdi?

Sai Baba attended Dev's Udyapan ceremony by appearing in the guise of a Sanyasi. According to Chapter 40, Baba explained this to Jog, stating that he first visited Dev alone and then returned at the appointed time for the meal with two other companions, just as he had promised. Dev hosted the three uninvited guests, who were thoroughly satisfied with the meal, but he failed to recognize that the Sanyasi was Baba himself. Baba later confirmed this, saying, "I said I would come with two others, and I went with two others... do you not remember the Sanyasi's guise?" This illustrates how Baba could be present for his devotees without physically leaving his location.
