How did Sai Baba initially react to the sannyasi who came from Madras for his darshan?

Chapter 31 describes a puzzling initial reaction from Sai Baba towards the sannyasi Vijayananda. After feeling dejected by his conversation with Swami Somdevji, Vijayananda went and took darshan of Sai Baba, prostrating at His feet. Although the sannyasi's mind was pleased, Baba's own disposition suddenly became disturbed. He then said to the assembly, "send away this sannyasi; there is no companionship for work." Being new and unaware of Baba's unique nature, the sannyasi was distressed by this reception but decided to stay and watch the service, as narrated in Chapter 31.
