How did Sai Baba handle the matter of Dakshina with Kaka Mahajani and his skeptical friend?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 35

The handling of Dakshina was quite pointed. The friend had come to Shirdi with the firm condition that he would not offer any Dakshina. As Chapter 35 recounts, after the friend had already been moved to bow, Baba asked for Dakshina, but only from Kaka Mahajani. Later, when they went to get permission to return to Mumbai, Baba again asked only Kaka for Dakshina, this time for seventeen rupees. On both occasions, Baba asked nothing of the friend. This deliberate exclusion had a significant effect, as the text states that the friend, who had been so determined not to give, now felt restless in his mind because he was not asked.
