How did Sai Baba handle the matter of Dakshina with Kaka Mahajani and his friend who had resolved not to give any?

📖 Chapter 35

Chapter 35 recounts that Kaka Mahajani's friend had two conditions for visiting Shirdi: not bowing and not giving Dakshina. While he broke the first vow upon hearing Baba's voice, the issue of Dakshina was handled uniquely by Baba. On two separate occasions—once in the morning and again in the afternoon when they were preparing to leave—Baba asked for Dakshina, but only from Kaka Mahajani. The second time, Baba specifically requested seventeen rupees, again only from Kaka. The scripture notes that Baba "asked nothing of the friend," which in turn made the friend feel "restless in his mind," highlighting Baba's omniscient way of imparting lessons and influencing people without direct confrontation.
