Later in the afternoon, when they came to ask for permission to leave for Mumbai, Baba again requested Dakshina, specifying 'seventeen rupees,' but once more, only from Kaka. Chapter 35 explicitly states that Baba asked nothing of the friend. This deliberate exclusion had a profound effect, as the friend then 'felt restless in his mind,' showing how Baba addressed the friend's inner state without ever directly confronting his vow.
