According to Chapter 2, Sai Baba felt compassion for the author and provided courage to calm his impatient mind. He granted permission for a collection of stories and experiences to be made, stating, "Keep a record; it is good. My full help is with it." Baba went further, explaining that the author was merely a pretext and that He Himself would write His own story to fulfill the devotee's wish.
