How did Sai Baba first arrive in the village of Shirdi, and who was the first resident he encountered?

According to the introduction in Chapter 0, the person later known as Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi as part of a wedding procession. This procession was for the wedding of Chandbhai's wife's nephew to a girl from Shirdi. The group stopped in a garden near the Khandoba temple, and Maharaj, as he was then called, went into the temple.
