How did Sai Baba explain his attendance at Dev's feast when confronted with Dev's letter of complaint?

When Jog presented Dev's letter, Baba revealed he already knew its contents and Dev's state of mind. As explained in Chapter 40, Baba corrected the misunderstanding by stating he had indeed attended the Udyapan, but in the guise of a Sanyasi. He reminded Jog that he told Dev he would come with two others, and he did exactly that. Baba recounted how he first appeared alone, causing Dev to worry he would ask for money, and then returned for the meal with two companions as promised. Baba emphasized his commitment to his word, stating, "for the sake of My word, I would die; but the words from My mouth shall never be otherwise."
