How did Sai Baba encourage Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar to resume his family's tradition of Vitthal worship?

📖 Chapter 4

Chapter 4 recounts a beautiful story regarding Sai Baba's intervention. When Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar, the son of an old friend, came to Shirdi, Baba revealed His omniscience. He told Bhagwantrao that since his father's passing, the family's worship of their household Vitthal idol, including food offerings (Naivedya), had ceased. Baba said, "He never offers food (Naivedya); he keeps me hungry too. He keeps Vitthal hungry too, that’s why I brought him to Shirdi." By making it clear that neglecting Vitthal was akin to keeping Baba Himself hungry, He lovingly reminded Bhagwantrao of his duty and guided him back to the path of worship.
