Sai Baba consistently affirmed the importance of devotion to Lord Vitthal through several interactions. As described in Chapter 4, when Das Ganu organized a Name-week (Saptah), Baba assured him that Vitthal would appear if the devotee was full of faith, which later came to pass. Similarly, when Kakasaheb Dixit had a vision of Vitthal during meditation, Baba confirmed it by asking if "Vitthal Patil had come." Most notably, Baba admonished Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar for neglecting his late father's practice of worshipping a household Vitthal idol.
