How did Sai Baba demonstrate his supernatural abilities during his first meeting with Chandbhai in the forest?

During his first encounter with Chandbhai, Sai Baba demonstrated his supernatural abilities in two distinct ways. As recounted in Chapter 0, Chandbhai was distraught over his lost horse. Maharaj, whom Chandbhai had never met, called out to him and, without being told the problem, said the horse was behind a nearby hedge. Chandbhai found the horse exactly where indicated. Following this display of clairvoyance, Maharaj wanted to have a smoke (chillum) but there was no fire. He then struck his tongs on the ground, miraculously producing fire to light it. These acts revealed his divine power to Chandbhai.
