How did Sai Baba demonstrate his omniscience to Chand Patil during their first meeting?

During their initial encounter under a mango tree, Sai Baba demonstrated his divine perception to a grieving Chand Patil. Chapter 5 explains that Patil had lost his mare and was returning home disappointed after a two-month search. When Baba saw Patil carrying a saddle, he inquired about it. Upon learning the mare was lost, Baba simply told Patil, "Go search near those streams; the horse is found immediately." Patil followed the instruction and, to his amazement, found the mare right where the Fakir said it would be. This act of knowing the precise location of a lost animal is what made Chand Patil realize he was in the presence of a great saint, as recounted in Chapter 5.
