How did Sai Baba demonstrate his compassion and foresight in the incident with Mirikar and the snake?

📖 Chapter 22

Chapter 22 details a terrifying situation where a snake coiled itself on the upper cloth of Mirikar while he was engrossed in reading. Sai Baba had foreseen this "uncalled-for trouble" and, out of immense compassion, insisted that Shama accompany Mirikar for his journey, even though Mirikar initially refused. After the snake was discovered and killed, Mirikar was deeply moved, realizing how Baba knew about the "bad time ahead" and had arranged for help. This event revealed Baba's profound inner vision and his protective love for his devotees, which he brought to light "effortlessly and playfully."
