How did Sai Baba connect the festival of Dussehra to his own passing?

📖 Chapter 42

Sai Baba used the festival of Dussehra to teach a profound spiritual lesson. As detailed in Chapter 42, he suggested to his devotees that Dussehra represents the auspicious moment for 'Seemollanghan,' which means crossing the border of the ocean of worldly existence. He didn't just teach this metaphorically; he demonstrated it through his own life. The very next year, on the Dussehra festival of 1918, Baba chose that auspicious moment to offer his body to the earth. He made it the true auspicious moment for merging with the Supreme, offering his pure body as a garment to the fire of Yoga, thus showing his followers the ultimate meaning of crossing the border.
