How did Sai Baba come to be known by that name?

πŸ“– Chapter 0

According to the account in Chapter 0, the individual later known as Sai Baba was initially called Maharaj. Upon his arrival in Shirdi, he entered the Khandoba temple where he met a gentleman named Mhalasapati. As soon as Mhalasapati saw him, he welcomed him with the words "Aavo Sai Baba," which translates to "Come, Sai Baba." The text explicitly states that Maharaj held onto that name until the end. When his testimony was taken in a commission and he was asked his name, he replied, "They call me Sai Baba." Thus, this spontaneous greeting from a devotee became his lifelong name.
