How did Sai Baba attend the Udyapan ceremony hosted by his devotee, Dev?

Sai Baba attended Dev's Udyapan ceremony in a mysterious and subtle way that tested his devotee's perception. As recounted in Chapter 40, Baba promised Dev he would come with two others. He fulfilled this promise by appearing in the guise of a Sanyasi, accompanied by two companions. They arrived at the mealtime, were served a full meal, and left.
