How did Maharaj initially help the people of the village when he first arrived?

When Maharaj first arrived, he primarily resided in a dilapidated Masjid. As detailed in Chapter 0, he dedicated himself to helping people by providing them with medicines, and he never accepted money for his services. The text highlights his compassion by noting that if a patient was not being cared for properly, he would personally go and tend to them himself. Many people in the area were treated and cared for by him directly. Later, he stopped giving medicine and began giving only Udi, or ash, which people also found beneficial.
