How did Balaji Patil Nevasakar demonstrate his detachment from worldly things?

📖 Chapter 35

Balaji Patil Nevasakar exemplified a life of being in the world but detached from it, as noted in Chapter 35. His self-sacrifice was profound. After harvesting his fields, he would bring all the grain to the mosque and offer it at Baba's feet. He considered Baba the true owner of everything and would only take home the portion that Baba gave back to him for his family's sustenance. Furthermore, his devotion was so complete that he would drink the wastewater after Baba had bathed and washed, a practice he continued uninterrupted as long as he lived.
