Balabuva Satarkar's initial Ram Navami performance was a resounding success, performed with 'great novelty and love' which pleased Sai Baba and all the devotees. Sometime later, the devotee Dasganu came to Shirdi and, upon praying to Baba, had the annual festival formally established.
