How did Baba interact with followers who were more interested in worldly matters than spiritual salvation?

A very large proportion of the devotees who came to Maharaj had worldly desires, and they are referred to as 'Sakam'. Chapter 0 explains that Maharaj's approach was not to turn them away. Instead, he would satisfy their desires and, in doing so, seamlessly turn their minds toward their ultimate welfare and spiritual path. This method highlights that Maharaj's incarnation was for the salvation of all people, and he skillfully guided everyone, regardless of their initial motivations, towards a higher purpose.
