How did Baba explain His attendance at Dev's feast, and what does it reveal about the nature of His promises?

📖 Chapter 40

When confronted by Jog about Dev's disappointment, Baba explained His side with surprise, as narrated in Chapter 40. He stated, 'Tell him, 'You did not recognize Me! Why then did you call Me?'' Baba confirmed that while He did not physically leave Shirdi in the worldly sense, He did attend the Udyapan. He meticulously recounted how He fulfilled his promise: 'I said I would come with two others, and I went with two others.' He reminded Jog about the initial visit in a Sanyasi's guise. This incident powerfully reveals the sanctity of Baba's word, as He emphatically declared, 'Look, for the sake of My word, I would die; but the words from My mouth shall never be otherwise.'
