Despite being forbidden from even going to the Masjid for a vision, Amir Shakkar's stay in the Chavadi provided him with multiple, effortless opportunities for Sai Baba's darshan. Chapter 22 explains this in detail. Every morning, Baba's path for seeking alms took him past the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see him as he went and returned. In the evenings, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi, saluting all directions. Most significantly, on every alternate day when Baba stayed in the Chavadi, they were separated by only a nominal curtain and a plank door, enabling them to talk privately after the Aarti and once other devotees departed.
How did Amir Shakkar receive Sai Baba's 'darshan' or vision while being confined to the Chavadi for nine months?
