How did Amir Shakkar get to see Sai Baba if he was forbidden from visiting the Masjid?

Although Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid for a vision, Chapter 22 clarifies that the location of the Chavadi provided him with automatic and frequent opportunities to see Baba. Every morning, Baba's route for seeking alms passed directly by the Chavadi, so Amir had an easy vision as He went and came. Similarly, every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi. Furthermore, on the alternate days when Baba also slept in the Chavadi, they were separated by only a nominal curtain and would talk with each other after the other devotees left.
