How did a plague outbreak lead to Balabuva Satarkar performing in Shirdi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 6

Balabuva Satarkar was scheduled to perform the Ram Navami Kirtan at Siddha-Kavthe, for which he received an annual grant. However, as Chapter 6 recounts, a plague (referred as Margi) struck the village of Kavthe that year, causing it to become empty. Consequently, the Ram Navami festival was cancelled, and Balabuva was told to come the following year. This cancellation of his usual service provided the perfect opportunity for him to fulfill a desire he had to get Sai Baba's Darshan. This led him to meet with Dixit and ultimately arrange his visit and performance in Shirdi.
