Chapter 37 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra questions the use of any place, even a heavenly one, that lacks the essential components of devotion. It asks, "Where there are no devotees of God, no narration of the stories of Hari and the Guru, and no music, dance, or worship of God—what use is such a place?"
